M.S., CCC-SLP
Jane Butler, owner and clinician, is a licensed and board certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Jane grew up in Alberta, Canada in the Awesome 80s and was lucky to receive her calling to become a Speech-Language Pathologist at a very young age (a pillar of light shone down, the works... it's a good story). Jane attended French Immersion schools and ultimately graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) and a simultaneous Bachelor of Arts in French Teaching in 1998. Jane subsequently moved to Portland and earned a Master of Science in SLP at Portland State University. Jane has worked in private practice and as an SLP contractor in school districts across Oregon and Washington for 24 years. Jane has been teaching online since 2007 and in 2024, she began working as Clinical Supervisor for Portland State University in the Telehealth Language Clinic. Jane readily engages and collaborates across disciplines for those patients who experience communication or myofunctional challenges in the context of multi-system disorders and diagnoses across overlapping syndromes. Jane has a passion for providing the utmost in mentorship and coaching for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), educators, athletic trainers, and rehabilitative and medical providers.
Jane engages in regular strength training and spends as much of her time as possible outdoors, planting and studying native Oregon species, advancing her knowledge of nutrition, photographing nature, developing and hiking the forest at Fireside with her family, or tending to her animals and garden.
